What social channels should be used on a business website

What social channels should be used in a web marketing campaign, or more precisely, which ones are strictly necessary to increase the popularity of a business website? Well, the answer is obvious and straightforward: all possible ones. In fact, even if we presumably can’t keep up with all of them, just having a well-completed profile on one of the major social media platforms with a link to our official website is still an important factor for SEO and will certainly provide us with a valuable backlink.

Of course, if we are so consistent and well-organized to post valuable content daily on our social media, then the entire web marketing campaign will have more value and influence. And it’s clear that Facebook (the business fan page, mind you!), Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest, and YouTube are the bare minimum. Italians love Facebook and know it well, so it’s easier to approach for professional use and support for web marketing activities. Twitter’s strength lies in its brevity, making it suitable for company status updates or event invitations. Google Plus, which didn’t initially gain much traction in Italy and didn’t have an immediate appeal, leading Google to change its interface and other features, still benefits from being owned by Google. The Mountain View company invested heavily in this project, pouring millions of dollars into it. A well-maintained business page on Google Plus, with a properly crafted profile, offers a strong return in terms of SEO and the popularity of the business website. Pinterest, thanks to the allure of shared images, is also a valuable aid in web marketing campaigns. Statistics show that Pinterest has a significant following among a predominantly female audience, making it highly recommended for fashion, jewelry, and similar businesses.
