Enna, twin city of Todi

April 16, 2018

I was pleased this morning to accompany a group from the city of Enna on a guided bus tour of Umbria, visiting the cities of Perugia and Assisi. Enna is the new twin city of Todi, along with Dreux and Melsungen. The city of Enna was called Urbs Inexpugnabilis by the Romans for its impregnability, Navel of Sicily for its geographical centrality on the island, and Belvedere of Sicily for the panoramic views in various directions. It is also notable for being the highest provincial capital in Italy. The visitors from Enna were captivated by our city and the medieval event Arcus Tuder, which they had the chance to witness. Below are more photos from yesterday, featuring a sword fight between knights in the square. There’s also a well-known intruder in the city for you to spot 🙂
